Patricia Archuleta

I am Patricia Archuleta. I have a wonderful husband, four awesome children and three gorgeous grandchildren. I was in a dead end job on my way to nowhere. On the advice of a wonderful friend and mentor, I enrolled in the Paralegal program in the spring of 2008. It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I hope to realize my goal of becoming a working paralegal in the near future. I am honored to serve as your SPA President and look forward to working side-by-side with you.

William Box - Vice-President

I'm William Box. I have three daughters (two are FCC students) and two grandchildren. Having served ten years in the military followed by a fifteen year sales career; it was time to return to school. I will be completing the Associates degree in Paralegal Studies program this Spring. As a SPA board member, I hope to be of service to my fellow students.

Sheila Oliver - Secretary

My name is Sheila Oliver.  I am a mother of three children and four grandchildren.  I have been working in the legal field for approximately nine years in the area of bankruptcy.  I am now in my last year at Fresno City and will graduate in the spring of 2010 with my associate of science degree and paralegal certificate.  I look forward to serving on the SPA Board as the secretary and wish all of you the best for the 2009-2010 school year.

Lori Whipple - Treasurer

My name is Lori Whipple and I am in my last year in the Paralegal program here at Fresno City College. About 2 years ago I found myself at a crossroad in my life and since I have always been interested in the law, I finally decided to do something about it and go back to school. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. We have a lot of activities planned for the coming year at SPA, and I hope you find the club and the paralegal program as rewarding as I have.

Amanda Sparks - Historian

My name is Amanda Sparks. Recently, after 17 years in retail, my job evaporated when the company filed for bankruptcy. I finally decided it was time for a change. I’ve been in and out of school for years, but now I’ve made it my priority and I’m really excited about the opportunity to do something that will be interesting and challenging and not just about a paycheck. I’ve only just completed my first semester and I’m looking forward to learning lots of new things!
